Baleno was introduced by Maruti Suzuki in 2015. It is the hot selling model of Maruti in its category and received an overwhelming response by the customers. To give a breakthrough in its sale, Maruti Suzuki decided to launch the mid-life facelift by First Quarter of 2019. The exact launch date is yet to come but it is expected to be launched in March 2019.
The new Maruti Baleno Facelift 2019 expected price would be slightly more than what is its current price because of its added features and some development in the car technology. Expected price is around 5.5 Lakhs to 8.5 Lakhs
There are no such changes if we talk mechanically. It will be powered with 1.3-litre DDiS diesel and 1.2 liter K series DOHC petrol which is the same as it was before. It will produce 115 Nm of torque peak at 4000 rpm and 83 bhp of power at 6000 rpm. The oil burner is for 74 bhp and 190 Nm of torque peak. It will be equipped with 5-speed manual transmission.
CVT gearbox will be equipped for the top end model in petrol version only. If we talk about the diesel variant, AMT gearbox will be fitted in the top model.
Though the company wants to launch 1.5 liters of the diesel engine in late 2019 or 2020, and is working on it.
Key features of new Baleno include:
• Multi-functional steering wheel
• Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Reverse parking camera
• New alloy wheels
• Remote keyless entry
• Roof mounted spoiler
• Automatic headlamps
• New grille
• Push start/stop with smart key
• ABS with EBD and brake assist
• Dual airbags
• Automatic AC
• New 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
In its segment, the Baleno was already one of the most fuel efficient cars in India. The new Baleno will have the same mileage as before. Currently, it gives the mileage of 21.4km per liter in petrol engine and 27.3 km per liter in the diesel variant. In fact, the Baleno has claimed to have ARAI certification for fuel economy of 21.1 km per liter.
There is no such change in the dimensions of the new Baleno.
Maruti is unlikely to remake the layout of this car to a large extent. We are still expecting some tweak in the headlamps design, probably the addition of a few chrome features, just like it was in Ciaz facelift which was launched in India recently. Maruti might step ahead and also introduce a new set of alloy wheels for Baleno 2019.
Just like the exteriors, the interiors of the update Maruti Baleno are not likely to see a major improvement. The design would remain mostly the same. The colour scheme will predominately stay the same which is black with silver accents. Maruti may equip leather upholstery in the top model and can also give a variation in the design of the seat fabric.
The New Baleno 2019 will be the talk of the market and there would be major differences in the old and new one, so book it now from the best car dealers in Navi Mumbai and get ready for a whole new riding experience.
