After a long wait, Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the All New Maruti Ciaz 2018 which now has become swanky after the facelift. Maruti Ciaz is available in 4 trims- Alpha, Zeta, Delta and Sigma. In total, it has 11 variants in which there are 7 petrol and 4 diesel variants available.
There are minor changes in design but there are major changes made in the engine and lots of features have been upgraded in the New model of Ciaz. The styling has been revised and now it has a better-equipped interior as well as exterior than before.
• Lighter faux wood trim
• Seat belt reminder
• New alloys
• Cruise control
• New instrument cluster with two pods
• Adjustable rear headrests
• Speed alert system
Now, let's come to the exterior part. The front fascia of the car has been changed wholly. It includes the chrome elements on the upper and lower side, a new grill with honeycomb treatment, redesigned bumper, bigger fog lamps with chrome work, projector lamps with chrome finishing and new LED daytime running lights.
It also includes new black fog lamp enclosures running along the lower lip combined by a slim strip. You will see a bit of chrome work on the back bumper and tailgate. The design of the tail lamp has also been changed. The size of the wheelbase remains the same which is 2650 mm.
Subsequently, considerable changes have been made in the interior part as well. All new Ciaz is equipped with an instrument cluster with 2 pods bordered by chrome. Chrome also surrounds the dash and the black-beige interior, making a perfect blend to feature wooden garnish. You will notice superior speedometer needles, 2-DIN music system, bigger MID screen and new tacho.
One of the biggest changes in the new Ciaz is in the engine bay. Previously the company was providing 1.4-litre petrol motor but now it has been increased to 1.5 litre VVT engine. In this segment, it has become the first hybrid car as the new model includes SHVS technology. Its transmission consists of 4-speed automatic gearbox only in top end trims and it has 5 manual transmissions in other trims.
In petrol variants, this engine provides the power output of 114.9 bhp along with 146 NM peak torque which is higher than before. The diesel derivative gets you the 1.3 litre DDIS SHVS engine generating the power of 88.5 bhp against 200 NM peak torque.
Exquisite changes have been made in the new Ciaz 2018 with a host of safety and comfort features. Comprehensively, it’s inevitably a lot better than before.
